I'm confused, why call out just white people? A million dollars is a million dollars...
Poor white people, they have it so hard. 😞
For real black artists like Kendrick have been a huge disappointment. Their big mouth about the oppressed never went past their own neighborhood. Instead the whitest guys on the block are stepping up.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar called out the racism double standard in the Black community years ago.
Kendrick routinely donates to charities. He focuses on Compton and LA, but to paint it like he doesn't donate to causes that serve the underprivileged isn't quite accurate.
Not a single word about Palestine in 3 years. Kendrick is a fraud.
Because privilege is power and power is responsibility.
By the time someone has enough millions to toss them around to various causes, their race is a rounding error in their level of privilege. All this does is try to reframe a class vs class struggle as a race vs race struggle.
It's so funny that you guys are getting up voted when I said almost the exact same thing and hammered for it. Love the consistency. I have the exact view you do. Adding white to this feels performative rather than actually wanting too solve the problem. It's "woke 1.0" vibes.
