...and that friend has measles.
This is so rage-inducing.
This piece of shit and those that have enabled him should go to prison. But the chances of that happening are next to nothing.
Well, and when you watch the confirmation hearings, they knew exactly who and what he was.
This dude has no qualifications and should never have even been considered.
Like all the confirmation hearings, it was just for show of course. Trump wanted RFK's voter base. RFK went to both Trump and Harris and offered the endorsement in exchange for the Health Secretary role. Harris reportedly refused. Trump was fine with it.
I suspect RFK was actually worth quite a bit to Trump. After all, he brings with him a particular brand of medical conspiracy theorists that Trump needs to speak to.
Indeed. Given the apparent host memeplex he seems to carry around in his head, he is even worse off than having no qualifications; he has net-negative qualifications.
At least with a lot of people with no qualifications, they'd be starting from basically zero. RFK jr would first have to be made to unlearn a whole host of bullshit - basically, he'd have to go through something akin to a cult deprogramming - before he'd get to zero, and after that, only then begin his education.
As it is, anything that may enter into his skull from a legitimate scientific source will likely just bounce off since his host memeplex will reject it outright.
It’s not going to change the AMAs guidelines or stop people from seeking vaccines on schedule, like most sane and concerned parents would do.
It’ll just be natural selection for the awful idiots who go along with this. Tragically, their children will be the ones taken out of the gene pool.
The bitter irony of this administration hurting the blind cultists they promised to help the most.
I'm not so sure it's that simple. Having this total fraud and complete quack at the head of HHS does what kind of damage to research and development of vaccines that may be in the pipeline? And not just the funding and the approvals, but how much brain drain have we suffered already?
It's probably really hard to gauge just how much long-lasting damage someone with no qualifications for the job and who is indeed ideologically opposed to science in such a prominent role has already done and will do to America.
I think it's going to be far more damage than him encouraging parents to kill their own kids.
The guy believes in the miasma theory of disease, FFS. Next time the Republicons are in office, they could put up someone just as bad or even worse, and they have a precedent for this complete insanity.
Unfortunately, the plague bearers are also plague spreaders.
The irony of parents opting out is that except for a few people within anabaptist religions (Amish, Mennonites, Hutterites), it's highly probable the parents are beneficiaries of vaccines, but would deny their own children the same thing.
It's all so fucking insane. We have to get better as a species of really being able to pass down wisdom and knowledge to our offspring. Of course, the rather primitive tools we did have are being actively broken by the right, so even that may wither away and only get worse.
No surprise there. It’s a goram clown show. Can’t wait for all these assholes to find there ways underground.
RFK goes underground every weekend. Usually with his bare hands, while looking for some tasty buried family pets.
