He hates us all and wants us to die

[-] adarza@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 weeks ago

i think someone's shoved into his skull the notion that with ai he could stay in ~~office~~power forever.

[-] kibblebits@quokk.au 12 points 2 weeks ago

The feeling is mutual. He, however, is willing to kill. You’re just capable of dying.

Fucking chimp with a loaded pistol

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 24 points 2 weeks ago

So cool that one man thinks he gets to decide for all of America. And all of the cons back him up on that.

What Constitution?

[-] NekoKoneko@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago

Kind of makes sense that the cons back him up when he's a convicted felon 34 times over.

[-] crispbacon99@lemmy.zip 14 points 2 weeks ago

Lmao tech bros are trying so hard to get out of the AI slop fest pretending it's about safety when in reality it's just a technology that's hit a massive plateau but now we have the trump administration with AI psychosis.

[-] Quexotic@infosec.pub 14 points 2 weeks ago

I've had the kind of day where all I can think is "could they just end the world and just fucking get it over with so we can just start rebuilding?"

[-] phar@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

He's such a conceited moron, he has no idea how AI works and he KNOWS he doesn't.

[-] aamram@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 weeks ago

He knows there's money for him in there. That's more than enough to push it.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

No, he is not really that good at self-assessment at all (he's the poster child for explaining the Dunning-Kruger phenomenon) and apparently does think he knows and thinks all we need is a "STRONG AND SMART PRESIDENT".

https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/trump-says-strong-smart-president-141340077.html

President Trump lashed out at calls for new AI guardrails and protections on Monday, arguing AI only needs a "STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT" and that AI critics should "BEWARE!"

I mean, I wish we had a smart President in the White House right now. It's hilarious that tiny-d donnie thinks he is both strong and smart, though.

[-] fyzzlefry@retrolemmy.com 3 points 2 weeks ago

I'm a power user, and I have no clue how it works. I have to treat it like an autistic intern.

[-] LocalAreaMan@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

More like sour loser.

[-] Leviathan@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

What's nice about a simple corruption machine like Trump is that he literally just tells you who just bribed him and what industries to avoid.

[-] ShellMonkey@piefed.socdojo.com 11 points 2 weeks ago

Only things these sort understand is force, demand, obey, dominate, strong big mighty monkey...

No one is slowing down AI. They're all just saying that so everyone else will slow down while they scream full steam ahead.

[-] fyzzlefry@retrolemmy.com 5 points 2 weeks ago

They're saying it because they all know there's diminishing financial returns from it.

[-] Fizz 8 points 2 weeks ago

He can't help but take the worst position on every issue.

[-] cantstopthesignal@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

If they sat him down and explained that, no actually we are just saying that to cover our asses because our financials in no way justify the absolutely insane amount of money investors have pumped in, so we are trying to hold on long enough to pass the buck to the public markets, he would 100% say some garbled stream of consciousness version of that at the next press conference. So they are stuck with him being against it because it sounds weak, which is stupid, but hey the stupid vote won the election.

[-] reddig33@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago

Could you not find a source other than CBS news?

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Is that the important part here?

[-] NoForwadSlashS@piefed.social 7 points 2 weeks ago

"That bubble is about to pop!"

*wheels in air compressor and duct tape*

I swear half of GOP verdicts and proposals sound exactly like Anal Cunt songs.

"I recruited of Data Centre crafted Gestapo to gun down Trans Persian teenagers" would be a paragraph Seth Putnam would incomprehensibly shriek on stage.

I respect your feelings

I respect your gender

I respect your existence

I’ll always be tender ‘cuz

I respect your feelings as a woman

And a huuuuman….

[-] OldChicoAle@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Rich coming from a fucker that said "it's all computer!" like he's never seen technology before. FUCKING DIE ALREADY

[-] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

I kind of like the direction all this latest "AI" is going.

I used the "Dog ate my homework" trick at work about how all my templated prompts and history have disappeared from a certain timeframe. My boss even had me open a support ticket with the vendor supplying the LLM. They said it must not be recoverable due to the nature of how AI works. I basically took a 2 week vacation and no one has any fucking clue about how stupid this shit it.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Depending on the tool you can get all of it locally. Claude code stores all the past 30 days locally.

[-] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

I hope their uniforms are even more sassy than the space force.

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 weeks ago

Ya know I kinda hope LLMs collapse in total and just fucken nuke anything that even resembles unproven AI development just because it'd piss these fuckwits off.

[-] hoppeduponcoffee@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago

Trumps AI force does one thing - make slop videos to punch down on minorities and ridicule anyone who opposes him. Like a tween edgelord.

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 weeks ago
[-] frightful5680@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

I feel like the whole slow down thing was a back and forth between the AI companies and the government to ensure that the bubble companies get lots of security.

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

I had this conversation yesterday. If you had to choose between an abstract inscrutable AI having all the power on in the world, or any CEO, who would you pick?

There are good reasons why women pick the bear.

[-] sbbq@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 weeks ago

I dunno, man, an AI can't be imprisoned or hung. Or eaten.

[-] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Is still pick the bear
