Why is center-left in quotations? The center-left has always had a threshold on macroeconomic/corporate stability where they switch from pro-labour to union-busting... That's part of what makes them center-left, especially the more neoliberal elements. Even the NDP has a complex relationship with labour. Part of that is because civil service unions will always be on the opposite side of negotiations from government by definition.

You could maybe instead give labour a say at the table when it comes to economic trade talks. Believe it or not yes we labour workers want investments in our industry and country, it's just we would also like garuintees said investments actually flow into our pockets and bank accounts rather then vague promises and pinke swears
