Seriously, seeing these pics of him playing with these models makes him look like a toddler even more than he usually does...

[-] thesohoriots@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago

It’s the Henge from Spinal Tap

Oh, hahahaa. I would so love to see donnie writing " instead of ' on a diagram and someone makes his arch that big.

I want to see a dwarf dancing around his arch...where dewdrops cry and the cats meow...

Dark Helmet in that once spaceballs scene where he's playing with his ~~dolls~~ action figures

[-] 4grams@awful.systems 22 points 3 weeks ago

This is so that he can call it a national emergency and bypass all laws, requirements and such.

The "top grade" military complex and arch will "house, store, and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones, plus Snipers, on both the roof and plaza areas, and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage", he said.

A sniper that needs a 'large quantity' of ammunition isn't a very good sniper.

[-] Swemg@lemmy.world 12 points 3 weeks ago

Why does he need that much snipers there? Wtf against who?

[-] Zedstrian@sopuli.xyz 9 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

It's just an excuse to use a portion of military spending on his arch.

[-] Mirshe@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

Also helps him bypass a lot of approvals. Remember, he did this with the stupid ballroom too.

[-] MountingSuspicion@reddthat.com 2 points 3 weeks ago

For the next J6 he'll need to rely on drones since he lost the fanatical support of a lot of his base by now.

[-] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.today 1 points 3 weeks ago

Idk about that. He really does perfectly represent conservatives. Some may be a little shy in public about it right now, but Trump is still their most accurate reflection. I truly believe conservatives will still support him in his attempt to overthrow democracy.

[-] ImgurRefugee114@reddthat.com 3 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

As the motto goes: twenty three hundred shots, one kill

[-] originalucifer@moist.catsweat.com 15 points 3 weeks ago

he has to go this route because he knows hes in charge of the military, by law. the piece of shit knows he can steamroll anything he wants by claiming 'national defense'

[-] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 9 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah, that makes sense. Like, did anyone think this maniacal overlord would not do the most fascist thing possible?

Just ask WWHD?

[-] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

Deep into the future after the collapse of our civilization, if we have a future after that, an advanced society will be wondering about this mysteries of this arch.

But not in a sense of awe, like Stonehenge or the Aztec pyramids. They’ll be asking the question, “Was this civilization really that fucking stupid?”

[-] Hawk@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 weeks ago

"Why did civilization build something THIS tacky?"

[-] WesternInfidels@feddit.online 5 points 3 weeks ago

It's like he's designing the kids' playset version first

[-] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

Its like hes designing them so he can hold/ grab them like in the thumbnail.

[-] sportsjorts@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 weeks ago

Can we stop him from building things? I thought that was a Congress power. Can we also put him in fucking jail? Fuck this guy who the fuck voted for him?

[-] einlander@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

How many folly's is he planning to build?

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

It's too bad that category is only about buildings, since he wants our military to build boats around an aesthetic he likes from about a century ago, and name those after himself.

[-] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 3 points 3 weeks ago

What the what, now? There just isn’t that much space there—unless he’s planning to shut the circle to traffic.

[-] Rubanski@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 3 weeks ago

The pillars will be filled with howitzers

[-] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

Lol. Iran liked this comment!

[-] Bustedknuckles@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

"Our leaders never matured past 10 years old" lemma still undefeated

[-] AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 2 points 3 weeks ago

Those golden eagles around the winged Lady Liberty on the roof can have laser eyes to shoot down any incoming missiles (or bags of drugs catapulted over the border by MS-13, for that matter).

The incoming missiles to justify this can be provided by the fact that there’s now a prominent structure packed with ammunition standing at the centre of the US capital, a target too good to pass up.
