The game that’s missing deadlines and over budget might be switching engines? Interesting.
Using the engine will give Sony money. That’s like paying your old boss after they fired you.
I would think that this would help morale at the studio.
Finishing a game helps surprisingly well with morale.
Switching engines is a very big task for a game (of that scale) deep in development, and it's very tedious.
