Don't know about smart, but It's the only way to get his attention. I don't believe Poland get to name the base but suggesting it gets his attention. If they build it, I'd sure hope it's will be finished after Trump's term so the can reconsider the name. Having something named after Trump in Europe makes me puke.
Maybe a brave chunk of cholesterol will do the world a favor and it'll be the Donald J. Trump Memorial Fort and Sewage Treatment Plant.

I don't think Trump's term will end in any other way than by his death, regardless of when that will happen, and then his successors will either name it after him in his memory, or will name it after themselves. So instead of Fort Trump, we might be getting a "J.D. Vance army barracks and couch emporium", or, if the succession goes more the way of a hereditary monarchy, it'll still be named after a Trump, just a different one.

I think it is only reasonable that the americans get to name or rename as much as possible after trump. That way the world will remember how they elected the worst fucking person in the world fucking twice long after he is gone.

Actually, I am from Poland, and I striongly oppose this idea. The defense of great polish nation is serious business, and Putin very dangerous dictator. Sure, Any military base in Poland should be named after USA dignitary, such as Jackson, Coolidge or Roseveldt. But Trümp means in polish “flaccid” or “limp” !!! And in England it means “flatulence”. That bad signal towards “madvlad” !!! Perhaps we call the new base “the Donald barracks” or “base orange” - or "Łyżka spermy"-camp, as we kindly call the great 49th president here in Warsaw!
