I'm not sure that a story is a codified measurement, but you can generally assume them to be around three meters for a residential building.

An adult male giraffe can grow as tall as 5.5m, so if you're feeling charitable you could call them two stories tall

Source: I have fed a giraffe from a first floor balcony.

Lovely anecdote, how much did it have to stoop down ๐Ÿ™

This is exactly why I ask these questions rather then "jUsT lOoK iT uP" ๐Ÿฆ’

You didn't even try to look up the answer to how tall a giraffe is, did you?

~~Some people on the fediverse are just convinced that more is always better~~ nevermind, I thought this was a different poster. Sorry OP

I ask what I wonder, no applogies. People can find themselves a new content desert if they want to be spoilsports

[-] glimse@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I thought you were the person I won't name who routinely posts obvious bait questions.

But on your second point, I'd rather a content desert than reddit 2.0

Lemmy will never be anywhere even close to Reddit in that way (bots/automated/spam by volume), so its all good.

That dude had like 70 comments over 5 months or something, they and anyone else like them need to chill and actually contribute rather than playing gatekeeper, for real. I get maybe I ask a lot of questions but I engage with all them so its not like a dirty cut and run aha

By the way, did you see the giraffe feeding anecdote, its nice and thats what gets lost when some anyone gives a shit about downers dicks like that dude who started this nonsense and people trying to be gatekeepers or keep Lemmy "pure" whatever that means

Help me understand, why would a low-effort human-generated slop post be better than not posting a low-effort human slop post?

[-] cheese_greater@lemmy.world -3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

That would deprive someone who likes talking about giraffes their time to shine. I wouldn't do that to person, I'm just decent that way. You wouldnt understand ๐Ÿ’…

Also why spam with that, literally less than zero value. Talk about insincere spam. So glad we had this chat, I know I feel closer

I want you to listen very closely: You are not an arbiter or curator or a mediator of anything. You have like 70 comments, respectfully please pound salt. Deal with it lurkee

[-] Hirohito@fedinsfw.app 4 points 1 week ago

Actually, you give a totally different impression but I'm too polite to say it.

I'm, confused. What is it you think spam means?
