Dogs don't smile when happy like humans. You're anthropomorphizing your pet.
Yeah does he mean barring his teeth? Like dogs do when they’re angry or anxious?
Some kinda smile when they are farting tho.
They do things that look, to humans, like smiling, but my understanding is that it's not done when they're happy.
With many animals, baring teeth is a threatening move.
So is farting, makes sense.
Can confirm, my dog is an aggressive farter. Will just drop a bomb and leave you and the room to deal with the fallout.
This is me when I hear my dog snoring loudly. At least one of us is contentedly sleeping
