Can recommend. Just, uh, don't watch the ending if you're struggling with not wanting to live any more. They touch on how immortality is awfully boring after awhile and people should be able to choose to hit the off switch.
Yeah, after seasons of moral crises and wrangling with hard questions, they answer it all with "all roads, happy or sad, lead to KYS".
Which like, could be taken to a place of hedonistic treadmills and "is the human mind even capable of true satisfaction and eternal existence?" And the option to alter your mind to be capable of handling these things, or a reset ala reincarnatiin, or even just acknowledging that it took the characters thousands of years to reach that point, but they don't. Which was a fucked up decision IMO, and a very irresponsible thing to do.
I agree they absolutely could have explored way more interesting topics. Probably just lazy writing, honestly. Show is ending, Story must end too with the characters ending. Tidy. Irresponsible? Eh. I will say it really resonated with me that boredom should be a valid reason.

You gotta be real a real sub for Jesus to get into (one of many different versions of) Christian heaven. And remember, God loves you unconditionally, which is why if you don't love him back, he will torture you in hell forever.
God doesn't do the torturing himself. He has a disgruntled former-employee that went off and started his own thing that he subs that out to.
I may be a little off on the canon. Most of my religious teaching comes from Jay and Silent Bob films.

Attending my Grandma's funeral was very difficult because of this. Hearing the used car salesman looking mfer describing how she's walking with my Grandpa in Heaven, blah, blah, blah. It was literally enraging. "It's practically good news!!!" felt like the gist. So glib. Ugh.
