Even if we got a normal president again it would have to remain icy till all the agencies are run by experts again and it will take some time to drain the trump swamp fill. then of course congess and the supreme court would have to be friendly.
It's worse than that. The damage is far more permanent. That you could even go this far tells the world you can't be trusted. No one wants to partner with a country where all your plans are one election away from disaster.

The next administration may be more favourable but the sheets been pulled back, and without systemic reform, it won't be possible to go on trust alone.

The bigger danger is that it is American companies that operate a lot of the technological and financial backbone of the world. That market is going to disappear as other countries implement their own sovereignty measures.

Private companies shouldn't have monopolies. Let alone of national infrastructure. We have let them have monopolies of international infrastructure! Operating systems, office software, search, you name it. It's so bad, most people can't even see the monopolies. They can't tell the difference between standard and monopoly.

The consitution is violated regularly, consistently, and as policy by their party at all levels. all branches could stop it and they lend words of approval about it. Its beyond the pale. yeah that gets exactly as I feel. Im fine if someone wants to be conservative but they have to make a party that is actually going to commit to the ideals. republicans are over at this point. they are the nazis and there is no ressurecting that brand. conservatives need to go back to pre nixon to find and stand by principles and it can't be we just have priniciples when the other party is in power. they have to apply them to themselves to. again though not as republicans. all bridges burned with that party.
I'm of the mind that those who are true believers in what he does are a very small minority, generally either the hood wearing or utterly sociopathic rich sorts.
Far too many that thought it couldn't be this horrible are too worried about their pride to openly admit they where wrong which makes it hard for Congress critters to feel confident to take a stand against him.
So these are made up statistics from my gut but my feeling when protesting, which I do about once a week, is that about 20% of the traffic gives us positive feedback. Way at the start it was more like 10 but its been going up over his term. Negative feedback has been like 1%. Now granted these are vague and gut but my gues is 1% is really an over estimation and 20% an under at least for a good day. So yeah I feel like anyone who is not profiting from his stuff that is still for him might be like 10% or less of the populace. Im not a good judge as I did not think anyone would be crazy enough to vote for him again after his first loser term.
As a citizen we can't trust him either.
