How am I supposed to avoid eating lead when they keep making delicious new flavors

what was the source of the lead contamination?

You can fault our food for having quality standards, but at least we have food so good we'd shit our brains out for it

[-] MaxLemminist@lemmy.ml 3 points 5 days ago

what quality standards, most of the garbage you eat can't even be sold here in Europe?
And great karma BTW.
It's a shitraeli company.

We have standards such as maximum allowable lead content in our foods. Europe would never.

Karma?

Just stop reporting on the poison slop, it's not news anymore.

I just find it hilarious how there's a recall for some deadly shit on pretty much daily basis in the burger reich.

How is production running guys? We gotta get these new cheetos out to the American consumer ASAP.

Well, everything is going ok, but the lead is not sticking to the cheetos that great. Check.. Dough, no problems. Frying to a puff, no problems. Glueing cheese powder, all good. Lead bath... All cheetos are just floating. Best we can do is trace amounts.

Well, let's add trace amounts up to the maximum allowed. Hmm, shall we?

[-] AntonioAndolini@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

I suppose trace amounts in one item isnt the end of the world but you encounter multiple trace amounts of lead in a week, that builds up in our systems, right?

Oh yeah. Slowly accumulating a toxin you can't get rid of.
