The worst part of thoughts like this is when you actually stop texting your friends and they don't start texting you.

I think it's just easier to not have friends. To paraphrase IT Crowd, people are a bunch of bastards.

Help i'm both sides. Sometimes if there's nothing else for me to say I don't reply so I don't bug them with a notification.

Haha what if they do actually start texting you but it doesn't convince you you're not a burden and you keep that up for six years and then you text them out of the blue and they thought maybe you had died?

We all do that right?

That just makes me think that I was the only one that thought we were friends.

I don’t think anyone’s ever summed up how I feel sometimes so succinctly.

I think we're all just a little too tired from work, and living in this hellscape - who isn't. Don't feel like you owe someone your company. Don't overthink it. It's okay to let go sometimes. Some friends and friendships need a lot of space, and some even come back

I never understood putting so much effort into being friends with someone. You can't change how someone feels or reacts but it is what it is. Everyone is just caught up in their own world with their own problems that it's difficult to think about everything. Some are better than others. Just accept it and put yourself first.
