Dunno if it is what you are looking for, but there is Linkwarden. It is primarily a bookmark/archiver (Saves a copy of the page), however, it has the ability to subscribe to feeds and will automatically bookmark anything in that feed.
@xenthar Yeaa I did check it out.. Thats the closest I think. Even Karakeep has a similar feature. And Newsblur has the ability to bookmark anything I heard.
Surely that's just FreshRSS with a plugin like Wallabag or Readeck. I use FreshRSS and Readeck for precisely this. One-click bookmarking (and archiving of the page, too).
@tenebrisnox Yeaa I guess this was what I might do. I just wish I could star any link in freshrss to read it later instead of using another app
Have you tried favouriting the post using the star button? I've just tried it and it does work as a read-it-later function even if you mark as read.
How would that work exactly? I bookmark many things that are not feeds.
@themachine Exactly, most of my bookmarks comes from rss but just for few which dont come from a feed I have to selfhost n manage a saparate app

Probably not an answer you'd like to see: I am using FeedFlow which supports bookmarking articles, having FreshRSS as the source of truth.
I use Karakeep, which is a bookmark manager with an RSS feed option, but you need to add some auto tags or your feed will just become a mess - it saves ALL the links from RSS feeds you add.

I use Reeder (https://reederapp.com/) with FreshRSS (https://freshrss.org/), and there is a read-it-later option. Here I can add URLs from the browser and articles from the reader. This works quite well also as some sort of bookmarking. I’ve used bookmarks mostly as a read-it-later tool. 😅
Do you simply want to bookmark posts you discover via RSS or do you wanna be able to add arbitrary links to it too?

Nextcloud has both RSS reader and bookmark manager, the bookmark manager had a link you can click to bookmark the site your on
I bet there's a bookmarking app that can output an RSS feed since they're pretty simple; then you could just subscribe to it from any feed reader. You could possibly even build a simple one. Where do you want to be able to save bookmarks from? And what RSS reader do you use?

See every update from the websites you want updates from without trusting an algorithm to surface them to you.
Someone can publish a list of updates in a computer-friendly XML format at a given URL.
An RSS client polls it periodically for updates, maybe notifies a the client's user when new updates show up, tracks which they've viewed.
Some people use it to provide notifications when their blog has new entries. Some to notify about new podcast episodes. I've seen it used to provide notifications of new BitTorrents being started on a tracker.

It's just a feed you can follow (think of following someone on IG or twitter). You'll get notified about the new content on that feed.
You can subscribe to all the feeds that are interesting to you and now you have a place to read the all and get notified when something new is out.

Imagine you had a feed like Lemmy's home feed, where things from the places you follow show up in a single feed you can look through and open the items you want to read.
Sites used to publish an RSS feed of everything they posted. GReader was the king like 10 (omfg, 20?) years ago. They they fucking killed it like they do with all their good, non-mail/YouTube projects.

I’m using Readwise Reader for years now and it’s the only service deserves it’s subscription for me. It’s not self hosted tho.
There was. TTRSS had both of these functionalities in its app. There was a 'Read Later' shortcut that put the article you wanted to save into the app via an Android shortcut. It was beautiful. The owner was a famously disgruntled (read: asshole) coder who finally gave the app up. The new coder does not include this functionality the revamped app.

You could run them in parallel, or fork both and smush em together

Of course not, but you could of course fork both projects and kludge them together. FreshRSS is the feed provider, you could probably find an RSS client that saves links.

Do you mean bookmarking web pages? Vivaldi browser has rss, email and the usual bookmarking functions.
