She killed her kids and has been in a very high-profile murder trial. 11 of the 12 jurors wanted to find her not guilty due to her mental state, but the last one held out and there was a mistrial. There's some other stuff going around about the holdout juror and it's a huge fucking mess, and we don't yet know what's happening next. There's a hearing tomorrow that's gonna be a shitshow.
It is sad that this is national news. News shouldn't be for profit or owned by single entities.
While I generally agree with criticism of the "white woman true crime tragedy porn" stuff, the legal case here actually is pretty interesting. There is a legitimate debate over culpability due to mental state and the jury situation is a little bonkers.

She had a severe case of postpartum psychoses and killed her kids. Went to trial and was found not guilty by every juror except a woman hating wife beater even though he admitted to having reasonable doubt, which lead to a mistrail.
It's a very shitty meme that makes fun of a woman's tragedy.

A woman's tragedy? The fuck? She strangled her three children to death. I don't give a shit what circumstances led to it. The tragedy is the kids who were murdered and everyone who knew and loved them.
It's terrible that she couldn't get the help she needed. That doesn't make her the victim.

Yeah, funny thing about that: per the Wikipedia article on the case, there were no fewer than three attempts at inpatient care for her, one discharged her, one she refused and the third she checked herself out of.

I'm kinda irritated by how people say she hassnt been convicted yet when someone's states she killed her kids despite pressing evidence but however throw the word postpartum disorder around like it wasn't just the defence strategy of her lawyer.
