You may not actively reach out to your folks, but some of your folks may think you're dead if it takes more than 8 hours to reply.
Once upon a time my mom sent my sister to check on me because I didn't answer my dorm phone. I was in class. Smh
I feel like you but am related to people who think 10 hours means you're dead. It can get annoying.
