Horrifying. Somehow Zionists will continue to defend these genocidal actions.

I have yet to see a Zionist actually come up with an argument for the genocide. Every time you call them out on their bullshit, the only response they can come up with is anger. They don't even know why they're supposed to hate Palestine, they just do. Make it make sense.

"Do you condemn Hamas?“

No.

[-] bedwyr@piefed.ca 4 points 1 week ago

Hamas has a right to defend itself.

It's a question equivalent to "Do you condemn the French Resistance in NAZI Occupied France?" and only those with a hard-on for supremacists mass-murdering civilians would answer differently than that.

[-] bedwyr@piefed.ca 1 points 1 week ago

Maybe, but the "french resistance" was almost non existent until the Americans got involved. Poland and Eastern Europe had far more resistance than any western country, france and italy included.

They get the Two Minutes Hate from 1984 pumped into them every day, for far more than 2 minutes, via traditional and social media for years and years. They're so deep within propaganda they can't see themselves as the monsters* they have become. That doesn't excuse it of course, but it can explain it.

The horrible thing about the Two Minutes Hate was not that one was obliged to act a part, but, on the contrary, that it was impossible to avoid joining in. Within thirty seconds any pretence was always unnecessary. A hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledge-hammer, seemed to flow through the whole group of people like an electric current, turning one even against one's will into a grimacing, screaming lunatic. And yet the rage that one felt was an abstract, undirected emotion which could be switched from one object to another like the flame of a blowlamp.

Tap for *Before the inevitable accusations of dehumanisation. Calling them monsters doesn't mean I think they're sub-human. Humans are capable of horrendous acts and calling them monsters doesn't take away from them being human. Many humans throughout history have proven themselves to be monsters whilst simultaneously having the multitudes that makes them human.

If any other country did this to anyone, the whole world would stop it.
