My truck is >20 years old but it won't last forever. Is removing the car's cell antenna a viable solution?
Depends on the make and model, some cars won’t care, some will throw a trouble code, some will brick the infotainment, some won’t work at all

I was thinking with a used hybrid the batteries could have very reduced capacity.
It will still get much better mpg even with lower quality batteries. Also for the record I'm driving a 13 year old electric car and while it only had a 70 mile range at release, I still generally get about 50 to 60 miles on a charge.

My car was the last year before the model got a new spy stereo. I'm sure it has some in it, but nothing compared to later years and higher trims. I will hang onto it until it starts shooting engine pieces out the exhaust.

This is why I purchased a Suzuki Jimny.
I used to own a Sumarai, and loved that car. I didn’t realize the Jimny was almost the same thing but better looking and more of a hard top. I wished I lived outside the US.

I’ve got an ‘08 myself and I’m in the same boat. Gonna keep it at this vintage or older when I need a new one but I’ll drive it till it dies.
