What a small and cowardly little man.

[-] TheGoldenV@lemmy.world 25 points 2 weeks ago

It’s gotta be a penis thing right? I mean alcohol doesn’t make him that insecure?

[-] frazw@lemmy.world 40 points 2 weeks ago

It's very odd that a man so obsessed with manliness and testosterone is against one of the main male visual traits.

I'm starting to think he might have some gender identity issues of his own and is trying to self treat with testosterone yet still can't grow a beard. Unless beard has its other meaning for him...

[-] Throbbing_banjo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah he obviously just can't grow a beard. Probably the low testosterone level he's so clearly trying to compensate for, I'm pretty sure it drives every decision he makes.

[-] Nouvellalia@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

He can't. He went through that whole phase on national TV. They all made him shave it off because after months it still looked like a 16 year old trying to grow a beard.

They are actively replacing military leadership with those who will support their upcoming coup. They need military brass willing to lead attacks on U.S. civilians.

We need to finish Sherman's work. As long as conservatives continue to live, they will continue to try to oppress and kill the rest of us.

[-] Fondots@lemmy.world 29 points 2 weeks ago

I'm going to go ahead and assume hegseth can't grow a decent beard.

Every veteran I know who can grow a full beard did so pretty much immediately after getting out of the service.

And most of the rest are at least rocking a mustache or goatee if they're able to.

There's some valid reasons to not allow certain styles of facial hair in the military, like they can effect the seal of a gal mask, if you were to find yourself fighting someone hand-to-hand, a longer beard is one more place they could grab ahold of you, maybe a fire hazard in some conditions, or harder to decontaminate if chemical or bio weapons are used, etc.

But this doesn't feel like it's about that, I think he just doesn't like beards and I think it's because he's jealous.

Could also be racism. Black guys get shaving bumps a lot more than most other races. So, in the military, black guys often are more likely to have a No-shave Chit (medical permission to not shave every day). Racist dudes often get butthurt about that, or at least did when I was in.

[-] JustPlainDave@lemmy.zip 12 points 2 weeks ago

He can't grow a beard, can he?

[-] Nouvellalia@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Nope. He's tried. He gets this scraggly, patchy, 16 year old mess. Here it is after months of work, and a team of people helping him grow it, and makeup/costume applied to make it look its best".

It was so bad, they forced him to cut it off. He was so proud of it, and he tried every excuse to keep it. Think of it like an intervention you'd do with a buddy, for his own good with prospective partners, but on national TV, with a delusional, alcoholic magat.

They kind of buried the lede with that headline. The whole quote (from the article) is:

“But it’s worth saying again, so the fake news understands it. We are no longer the woke department or the weak department. Simple translation of that: no fatties, no trannies, no beardos, no weirdos, no wimps, no radicals. Just warriors.”

Limp dick energy

He's laying the foundation to argue for the creation of skynet.

[-] takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 weeks ago

He even put his favorite Russian flag tie when Zelensky was visiting the White House.

It wasn't that long ago that guys like John Wayne were held up in the US as a shining example of manliness: Strong, capable, doing what's morally right, and not being "bothered by little things."

Nowadays the political right is falling all over itself to sell this notion that pettiness is akin to manliness; the more bothered you are, the bigger a man it makes you.

It's hard to think of a better poster-(man)child for this ideological shift than this little snowflake.

EDIT: Bummed, but not entirely surprised, to find out John Wayne was a racist. I guess my point still stands, as it was more the characters he played than the man himself that people admired.

[-] Manjushri@piefed.social 8 points 2 weeks ago

They also liked Wayne because he was a racist piece of shit just like Trump and his toadies.

I honestly don't know about that, but he was an admitted white supremacist.

Wayne responded: “With a lot of blacks, there’s quite a bit of resentment along with their dissent, and possibly rightfully so. But we can’t all of a sudden get down on our knees and turn everything over to the leadership of the blacks. I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people.”

Resentment? I wonder why?

I can’t wait until this piece of shit is in prison or dead. I’d prefer the outcome be prison so he can try this macho bullshit on a very large and gender-fluid person named Tiny.

People with beards. Some people (predominantly black, I think) get waivers for shaving because the hair becomes so ingrown.

I hope he gets an unoperable, very small brain tumor that is not life threatening, but causes immense hair growth, a feminine voice, loss of libido, a funny walk, his testicles retreating into his abdomen and such low blood pressure that he faints if he gets too excited.

Somewhat like Chewbacca with a very strange growl and fainting when seeing stormtroopers.

When is a group of these guys just gonna lead a coup?
