Nazism was born as a reaction to Zionism, ergo Zionism is OG of all modern Nationalist movements. Racism on the other hand is older than Zionism, its OG of all isms. I have always treated Zionism as evil doctrine, in the same corner as Nazism.

It's not just Racism, it's actually and very openly a Supremacist ideology and, judging by how it's practiced in Israel, a White Jewish supremacist ideology (just go check how they treat Black Jews from Ethiopia - there's even stories about it in the Haaretz).

For anybody even the tiniest bit to the left of frigging Mussolini, there is zero doubt that an ideology like Zionism that openly wants a country for a single specific ethnicity and which when when having such a country relentlessly claim that those of specific other races are "violent" and even "vermin" (with discourse so close to the Nazis that if you replace "Jewish" with "Arian" and "Palestinians"/"Muslims" with "Jews" in their speeches it's indistinguishable from Nazi discourses) whilst mass murdering even the children of such races, is not just Racist but incredibly so.

Now, when I lived in Britain I was actually a Green Party member for a while (until I left the country following Brexit) and IMHO whatever "figures at the top of the party" are conflicted about this, are clearly Far Right infiltrators and would be better off in a party with the same kind of "white races should be treated better than the rest" and "children from 'vermin' races don't count as human and thus mass murdering them is a morally right way of acting" values, such as Reform UK.

Looking back at the people I met in the Green Party when I was a member, I honest do not believe that such "figures at the top of the party" who are "conflicted" about this actually have in any way form or shape the same ideology as the rest of the party, though I do remember a vice-president I cross paths during an introduction to the party meeting in London with the leadership which gave me a wrong vibe with the way he spoke and body language, though this was almost a decade ago.

Zionism. Nazism

These are the same pictures.

Based.

Looks like the members have more of a spine than the leadership does.

From my own impression as a member of the Green Party for a while when living in London, the members I crossed paths were incredibly nice people (though in my view quite naive in their expectations on other people, though me having been in the Finance Industry for many years whilst living in the UK - before, during and after the 2008 Crash - I was probably quite cynical in the expectations I had for the average person in Britain).

That said, I do remember one guy from the party leadership I crossed paths with during an Introduction To The Green Party meeting in London which just had this weird vibe about him and didn't at all felt like the same kind of person as the rest.

Keep in mind that the UK authorities kept Green Party people under surveillance (as proven at least with regards to one Green Party MEP) and in general they infiltrated Ecological movements (there's a well known case of a woman who had a child from one such person who turned out to be an undercover police officer) so I wouldn't at all be surprised if the party was infiltrated by security forces types and, Britain being as Britain is (seriously authoritarian, though all done in a sneaky posh way, so the Jackboot is "just following the rules" whilst the Stasi is the GCHQ + Scotland Yard digital surveillance plus the insane amount of cameras in the place and stuff like feeding everybody's healthcare records to Palantir) it would surprise me not at all if they're infiltrating and surveilling like crazy the political parties that the local big parties deem "extreme left" (an Britain's Overtoon Window is seriously right-shifted, far to the right of the rest of Europe and close to or even more to the Right than the US were the "left" mainstream party isn't actually arresting anti-Genocide demonstrators as terrorist supporters) and the Green Party is by far the largest of them and the one most likely to eventually surpass Labour in votes.

I have no doubt whatsoever in my mind that the extremely well established and entrenched powers in Britain ("extremely" when compared to other countries in Europe I lived in) will do whatever it takes to stop genuine Democracy from working (in a country, which, by the way, already has the same anti-Democratic First Past The Post system as the US which gives absolute majorities to parties getting just 30% of the vote, which is the worst in Europe) and hence to stop the rise of parties such as the Green Party in response to Labour shifting so far to the Right and to Autoritarianism that they're arresting anti-Genocide demonstrators as literally and according to the Law "Terrorist Supporters".

The deputy leader Mothin Ali gave what was one of the most pivotal speeches for the motion.

Meanwhile German Green party: Zionism is... worth supporting with weapons and money

[-] Aceticon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

The one and only major party in Germany that doesn't seem to support the Nazi perspective that "people are defined by their ethnicity" and "people's treatment depends on their ethnicity" is Die Linke.

The Zionist Genocide really shined a strong light into acceptability, normalization and limits of ethnic-specific support in Germany and what it made visible is just how extreme Racist and entrenched values are all across the Politics and Press spectrum in Germany and how the limits on that are so incredibly broad that even child mass murder becomes acceptable if done by those from a "good" ethnicity.

It is seriously worrisome that the way of looking at other human beings and treating other human beings as "ethnics first" which are core foundations of Nazism are alive, well and strong amongst German elites, even great swats of the supposedly "left" which one would expect to be more Humanist and less Racist.

That's a common misspelling, but no. The correct version is "Zionism is fascism."

[-] Zorque@lemmy.world 10 points 17 hours ago

Racism is hard-baked into fascism.

[-] HerbGrower@slrpnk.net 4 points 14 hours ago

It doesn't have to be based on race, fascism relies on hate though.

[-] Aceticon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

There are roughly two big kinds of Fascism in this:

  • That anchored on Nationalism, such as what Mussolini practiced.
  • That anchored on Racial Supremacism, such as what Hitler practiced.

Zionism is the second kind.

Historically Fascism anchored on racial superiority is far more violent and far more callously so - the kind that sees no problem in targeting and murdering small children who are deemed to be part of a "vermin" ethnicity (which is exactly what Israel has been caught doing in Gaza with snipers).

Historically Mussolini, Franco, Salazar and so on in Europe (and, right now, Putin) did not claim to represent an ethnicity and where never anywhere as hateful and callously murderous towards human beings not of said ethnicity as the Zionists and the Nazis, rather they practiced violence to expand their power and holdings, wanting to force those living in conquered lands to become their subjects rather than expelling or exterminating them for being of the "wrong" ethnicity.

Altho I have some disagreements with the greens, this is a remarkable step! Kudos to them
