I hear some folks criticising the lack of open-source on the sailfish ui

according to the Nura wiki Nik012003 is working on porting it to "memeline" linux

whether that is a typo or means something else i don't know

https://wiki.nura.eco/wiki/Jolla_Phone_(2026)_(jolla-jp2601)

I was also thinking about it but not sure, it really depends on if there is big demand. Currently my hands are still full with the FP6 and after i wanted to do the Catcrafts RISC-V phone, so im not really big on then doing another FP6 sized project if there is no demand.

@TheMightyCat@ani.social @Sunshine@piefed.ca there could be demand for mainline SFOS for the Jolla Phone 2026.

from a quick search it seems to have MTK Dimensity 7100. i believe it's not well supported in linux mainline (yet?).
