context is that this is a shirt about swimming. Cap, goggles and suit are all swimming equipment.
The son shaves his legs for less drag in the water, and I guess the daughter isn't into swimming and just doesn't shave her legs.

She's so real for that, shaving is a total pain for like no reason.

edit: the quality is bad so I'ma edit in a transcript

Cap..... $8
Goggles.... $12 Suit..... $60
explaining to parents why their sons shave their legs while their daughters haven't for months.... priceless.

Thanks for adding the context. I could not figure out what kind of kinky shit involved a cap and goggles.

I figured it was Graduation, which explained the cap and suit, but I was confused about why you would need goggles at a graduation.

I suppose you could incorporate them into Watersports. Good luck

The son and daughter are both swimmers. The son and daughter shave their legs, forearms and chest and back once or twice a season. We don't care about the hair, it provides less than a millionth of a second of drag. We shave to remove the built up dead skin and nerve endings. Immediately after shaving you jump in the water and swim as fast and hard as you can. By removing all the dead skin and nerve endings, it will feel like you're going faster than you've ever swam. The next day you will work that much harder to try and regain that feeling during your competition. Motion lotion (BenGay and Baby Oil) is a whole other thing.

None of this works if you shave regularly.

I was a competitive swimmer in Highschool and University.

Remove nerve endings

I think you misunderstood something. Nerve endings are in the deeper layers of skin, covered under many layers of dead and alive skin cells. If you’re touching nerve endings, that’s flaying, not shaving.

The shaving thing is partly about drag and partly about how the body reacts to increased stimuli. The process is to not shave until just before a swim meet. then you shave and the newly sensitive skin on your legs helps your adrenaline response

The gender norms are a changin. The other day I walked in to the public restroom at the building I work at. Inside was this twenty year old who cleans the restrooms talking to another dude who was just there. I walk past to a urinal and before I get done pissing this kid starts asking me about helping him get a new key fob. I'm like dude I'm taking a piss here can't it wait. I mentioned this to another co worker who is in his thirties and he says young guys go to the toilet together a lot these days. They have no trouble with random gossip while they are there. This goes against the unspoken code. I guess its our fault though for not speaking about it enough.

Shirt forgot to mention all the guys wearing tights for practices.

So much I do not miss about that sport.

My first few years speedos were still common, but it was only for meets. Practice we were always encouraged to wear something with drag.

Speedo's fastskins changed that up. Team suits disappeared, everyone was wearing those for competition.
