Honestly I would take any form that's younger, healthier and more attractive than I am right now. Completely regardless of gender. I'm not trans I simply... don't care about that? I think I might have a very slight preference for a male body, if only to avoid monthly cramping...

Sometimes it's not an egg, just a person who's not happy with how hard it is to build an attractive body or their age, or with the decisions they made in the past that have left actual scars.

Honestly, best case scenario would be shapeshifting, just to satisfy my curiosity about how the world would feel and how it would act towards me as another gender/ethnicity/species. I'd love to fly as a bird.

You have to respect that people are comfortable enough with themselves that they don't feel the need to change, but still would if they could just instantly morph into a form they would be even more comfortable with.

I mean, yeah, sure, that is possible, but in the case of trans women, being numb to your own dysphoria is an extremely common experience.

Not everyone has it, and euphoria is enough to want to transition, but good god, there's so fucking many stories of girls going through the "I didn't know I was miserable, but there were signs" phase.

Yup. Never felt dysphoria actively until after I put my picture into a genderswap app. I pretty much immediately started crying, instant egg crack and I didn't even know I was an egg until it cracked. Since then I've gotten more and more dysphoric. I didn't used to be upset about being bald but my affinity for hats makes a lot more sense. That pretty well across the whole board in every aspect and I'm so angry it took me so long to find out, as my chances of ever passing anymore are pretty low now, and I keep seeing more and more signs the further back I look.

I've read some Banks, but not Peer Group. Is it good?

The cool part about Greek, is that we have words for attractions not related to your gender: gynephilia, androphilia, ambiphilia, panphilia, etc..
Zappyz_ would noticed faster if she had conceptualized:

Ok I’m gynephilic but I would totally change my gender if I could look like this

I'm not sure where that user ever said she was attracted to women or femininity. There is a good chance she is considering the character, but it's not part of the post at all.
