I think the trailer really ruined this one ... it was full of spoilers.

Great movie! Comedy horror, as described.

But if that genre makes you think of the Scary Movie franchise, and you're not a fan. This is not that. Much funnier (in my opinion).

It's truly a masterpiece of comedy. I highly. Recommend it to those who have never watched it. That and groose point blank.

But T&D vs Evil is so fkn good.

Tucker: What am I supposed to say, Dale? "Oh hidy-ho officer! We've had a doozy of a day. There we were minding our own business, just doing chores around the house when kids started killing themselves all over my property.

To be fair, scary movies are explicitly parodies, so different from regular comedy horror

Good point, and explains why I don't find the Scary Movies as entertaining as T&D.

Kudos to your insight.

Seriously one of my favorites. The movie is brilliant and funny. I love how it turns the horror narrative on its head.

Great film.

As your attorney: I recommend smoking a ton of really good weed and eating a handful of psychedelic mushrooms with really good friends before watching it.

Make it an event. With board games & finger foods.

VPNs, good things. Just saying.

Am I the only person that did not enjoy this movie? I found it dumb start to finish.

[-] ArmoredThirteen@lemmy.zip 17 points 19 hours ago

It is dumb start to finish, that's why I like it

[-] edible_funk@sh.itjust.works 15 points 19 hours ago

It's a caricature of a slasher trope, it's supposed to be dumb. It's surprisingly clever if you watch a lot of horror schlock.

You may have to have grown up in slashers to really appreciate it. I know I did and thought it was pretty funny.
