I tried, ornamental lilly-pillies taste like carpet. Silverberry, also tastes like carpet. The fruit from citrus rootstock, carpet. Crabapples, sour carpet. Homebrew from ornamental quince, carpet.

Ornamental peppers are ridiculously hot, like much much hotter than even reapers.

Might be cabale of causing chemical burns if you eat enough of them. Idk.

This is a Peppy Le Pom variety.

The description says:

These develop into tiny little pomegranate fruits, which, while technically edible, have only a few small, sour seeds inside, so they're really best appreciated on the plant.

I tried one pip last year and boy was it sour. I just assumed they were basically inedible based on that. I just left the fruit on the plant this year, but they’re really old now and some had spit open so I decided to check a pip again. It was tasty enough I grabbed all 3-4 fruits that had split.
