If the phrase "Jonny doesn't care" from MST3K means anything to you then this week is even worse than you think. He was key to importing so many of the movies that made MST3K possible.

A sad day indeed. However, when I read the headline (and MST3K) I thought this was "TV's Frank" (Frank Conniff) and let out a sigh of relief he's still with us.
