Craziest footage ive seen in a while. This plane turned to dust almost instantly. At least they did not suffer.
Unfortunately their last 30 seconds or so were likely sheer terror…
Oh yes. Voice recordings of the communication between the pilots and the Air Traffic Controller can be found online.
Tip: Don't listen to it.
It's nothing I didn't hear in A&P school. We studied several aircraft accidents including black box recordings.
You know the fatal CVR recording that struck me the most? Korean Air 8509. That one is truly chilling.

I've seen war and missiles first hand and this still seems surreal. (I know it's a plane but I mean how fast tgey come down)
This is absolutely crazy and I don't know if I can listen to the audio, saw a ton of people warning against it. Saw some people speculate if it was AI which, yeah, I get, but I don't like how AI has gotten to the point where we have to second-guess, and doubt everything.
When I first saw the video I thought it was AI until I found a news article confirming it and seeing the background of the crater match the video.
It's not AI, it's recorded audio from publicly available and documented radio broadcasts, and if you are at all a sensitive person don't listen to it. It's fucking awful.
This includes anyone in an aviation related profession. There is nothing to learn here. It will not make you better or safer. It's just some poor woman screaming to her death. There will probably be something to learn from the findings of the investigation, but not this recording.

This is the first time I see a real airplane crash, and not some CGI simulation, the sheer speed of that aircraft is crazy to witness.
