Sweet. I used it during my dissertation and always thought of the name as "post-GRE-SQL" (GRE being the Graduate Requisite Exam that many in the US take to qualify for graduate school). I know that has nothing to do with the actual name (which is related to Ingres), but it's just a personal story.
