Think the start of the season is the most exciting time. So looking forward to it. Last season I was just exhausted at the start though. And that somehow makes me doubly excited now. Now I am raring to go.

Klopp wants our trust. I like the squad we have (obvious a couple more hopefully coming in to).

And think I’m likely getting to my first anfield game this season, so I’m excited for that.

Also excited to see what this place becomes!

Enjoy the pilgrimage to Anfield! It truly is an amazing experience.

I hope to be able go back in the next few years

Macca has looked great so far. I'm very edited to see his impact this season

He seems like the best of Lallana and what we though we would get out of Keita in one player. Really impressed so far

I think Trent should become a starting midfielder. Hope next season will see him transition into the role. He adds so much to the game in that role. Joemez can substitute him at right back for the moment in games against lower league teams hard to break down

Now that the obvious answers are gone, who are the players with the longest tenures?

If only the senior squad is taken into account: Gomez (2015), TAA (2016)

Overall in the club: TAA (2004) followed by Jones (2010)

I think Joemez has to be up there, maybe Mo, Matip, Robbo and Trent?

How is everyone feeling about VVD as the new captain? I think he's the right pick.

Logical decision imo. Think the added pressure & responsibility will help him get back to best form.

I thought it was set in stone, given that he has been a vice captain for a while now.

[–] raytch@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

logical choice

I think they got the C and VC spot on. Natural progression.
