This guy gets it. Of course these alternatives aren't as good as reddit currently, but thats not the point. Reddit has shown everyone what they are and what they think of their users.

Everyone forgets that compared to Digg at the time Reddit was positively Byzantine. It was not a good experience, but we all moved there anyway.
