I think so. If I click on the three dots next to your post, I can block "asklemmy". Should be possible for any community.
Asklemmy
A loosely moderated place to ask open-ended questions
Search asklemmy ๐
If your post meets the following criteria, it's welcome here!
- Open-ended question
- Not offensive: at this point, we do not have the bandwidth to moderate overtly political discussions. Assume best intent and be excellent to each other.
- Not regarding using or support for Lemmy: context, see the list of support communities and tools for finding communities below
- Not ad nauseam inducing: please make sure it is a question that would be new to most members
- An actual topic of discussion

Dunno how jerboa displays it, but on the mobile site you can also find the community and block it via the sidebar
Unfortunately not. For now, the only way to do that is for your instance admin to entirely block that entire instance. Defederation, the nuclear option.
ATM, you can only block any given community. It's one at a time, but do it each time you see a sub you aren't interested in and you'll quickly stop seeing them.
The option is in the threedot menu on Jerboa, on any post.
Afaik, you can only block communities so far.
make your own instance and block it
