I hit an all time high for net worth and investments. It feels good, especially since I’m at a low point for work morale.

We’re in territory where I could stop working, but I still feel uneasy about it. My main hang ups are insurance and the fact that I’ve got two young kids. College savings are established but not fully funded.

It’s hard to walk away from my job because each year still adds significantly to our savings. It feels like it’d be stupid or irresponsible of me not to keep at it and over shoot the target so we’ve got options and a buffer. This is definitely one more year syndrome.

I feel that. We're not quite at our number yet, but we are nearly at our first FIRE goal, before we moved the goal post. Now I'm thinking of moving it again... How much are you planning on saving for kids college?

The rough plan is to pay four years of a good in state university plus some buffer. That works out to something like 100-140k in today’s dollars/tuition depending on housing and school. My goal is to front load their 529s so a) it’s got 10+ years to grow and b) I can worry less about it for the RE budget.

Been having some knee issues so I'm trying the knees over toes exercises to try to avoid having to go to PT for it. Last year I spent $1200 getting my other knee checked out only to be told it would get better on its own in 1-3 more weeks. Figured I'd try to save some cash and diy it to try and regain my mobility faster.

I'm very skeptical of this guy since everything about him comes off as bro-science/steal your money through over hyping it, but also there doesn't seem like anything wrong with the exercises themselves from my athletic layman's perspective. I found a free copy of the program so figured if it is just a scam I'm not out anything.

Getting old(ish) isn’t fun. I used a kick sod cutter to clear part of our yard and spent a couple of months with a pissed off knee. Then did something to my arm (who knows) and it’s only now 3-4 months later mostly back to normal. Although I blame the slow recovery there on hefting the kids constantly.

I hope the program works for you!

I tried a little bit of his exercises. I never had bad knees, but would occasionally get aches. All of that has gone away since I started running and doing his exercises. I don't know what helped my knees, but I think strengthening them does a lot of good. Running is great for that as long as you're not heel striking
