I don't want to enter as I have a big enough backlog as it is, but I wanted to say congrats on reaching a year!!
Patient Gamers
A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
Ditto!
Thanks!
It's more like thanks to everyone who has been posting and commenting in the last year and keeping the tone/mood of this place chill, inviting and friendly, which is all I wanted.
Can I donate $60 bucks to double amount of winners? I don't have have much time to game, but I thought this was such a kind way to help out the community that Id like to help out as well.
That would be really awesome of you!
After I've picked two winners, we can have you pick two more and you can send them the codes directly as well.
We can make it the giveaway part 2.
When we get to announcing winners I'll message you!
Hey thanks for making the deadline so long, feels in tune with how Lemmy functions (In the off chance I win, roll the dice again)
(Direct steam gift is more than fine)
Project Zomboid. Big zombie fan, but somehow never ended up with the game. However (given I'm old af) I still remember the day the dev announced his laptop or whatever with all the code for the game on it had been lost or stolen, back in its real early dev days. Amazing the game was ever able to come out, let alone I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about it.
And ty for the giveaway! <3
That game is one of my favorites. I have over a thousand hours in it. Good choice!
Probably would have to be RimWorld, people who love that game seem to really love it. Nearly pulled the trigger a couple of times.
I live rimworld, my wife is a massive sims fan and I bought rim world for her and she was hooked.
I was hooked for weeks but my brain gets hooked on things for a few weeks then it moves on to the next thing like a adhd riddled child
I don't want any games just dropping in to say that this it's nice your doing this for the community cheers.
I'd really like to try Subnautica. I love survival games and my gf has been trying to get me to try it but I have never really gotten around it. Steam gift would be great. Thank you!
Subnautica took me a few goes to properly get into, but once I was in, oh boy was I in
It really helps to have good spawns for technology. If you don't have decent ones on a first run through it can feel like you're stuck in a rut pretty fast.
Once you know what you're looking for, though, it makes life a lot easier.
It probably didn't help that the first couple of tries were prerelease. Finally gave it a full play through a year or two ago
This is fun! Been thinking of trying out Persona 4 or 5 as I've heard great things about the series in general, but never ended up taking the plunge. I'm sure there are other games from my wishlist I'd also like, but I'm not at my computer right now.
I'd probably do option #3, if I were to win. Best of luck, everyone!
If I'm picked, I'd like Bug Fables, GOG version 😄 - This bad boy's been sitting on my wishlist forever and looks like a truly lovely game.
I would ask for X4, but it only gets under 30 dollars when on sale, and only the base game. It has 4 expansions now, so I'll probably buy the complete edition later this year. Besides, I still have to give Rebel Galaxy and other space games a first try. ^please^ ^don't^ ^ask^ ^about^ ^the^ ^rest^ ^of^ ^my^ ^backlog^
Physical game gift card. I don't like the idea of digital ownership, especially with the garbage that some companies have been pulling with rescinding digital ownership.
I've been interested in The Surge or the sequel, or maybe DOOM Eternal.
Physical. I’ve been waiting to buy Elden Ring!
Can that be obtained under 30 dollars tho?
I think it has been, on sale! Also waiting for Sekiro or wanted to play Dead Cells, Celeste, or Hollow Knight
Option 1. I am a console gamer and have been itching to play Pokemon Legends Arceus. Price hasn't come down much... but that seems to be how Nintendo rolls.
That's so awesome and kind!
Steam!
I would buy (and play) the heck out of Stray.
I‘d totally take a Steam gift card. Would probably grab Hi-Fi Rush on sale and a few smaller indie titles like Brotato/Journey etc. Good luck to everyone!
This is very nice of you to do, thanks. I might use it on Dream Quest (2014), which is little-known as the predecessor to Slay the Spire, so probably #3, but any way would probably do.
EDIT: Wow, thank you so much!!!
I'd go with Chants of Sennaar as a direct Steam or GOG gift. Granted, it's not exactly patient gaming since it came out last year, but I found it had a charming and somehow retro vibe when I tried and enjoyed the demo, and it certainly is an original game concept. I suggest you try it yourself !
Thanks for organizing this giveaway !
I just checked and I already had that in my wishlist! Definitely looks cool
That's really cool! I'm knee deep in BG3, but if I were to get something, it'd be ff9 on steam, haven't played it in probably 20 years. See how it hits now as an adult.
Awesome! I would pick option 3. Thanks a lot!
I can't believe I won! Thank you!
🥳
I'd pick option 3, and go with double dragon gaiden. The beat em up genre has always been a favorite of mine, and we're eating good recently! New tmnt, a tmnt collection, new streets of rage, and now a new double dragon!
Physical steam.
I've been waiting on a lot of windows games I could never play, but I'm planning on getting a steam deck sometime soon.
Universe sandbox seems interesting enough for me to want to play but not quite enough for me to spend $30 on. This would be a perfect opportunity to finally give it a go.
Steam, please and thankyou
Very cool! I would like to win balatro please! (bloodstained: ritual of the night is too much) Option 3 please!
I prefer digital steam.
I'd love to have a copy of Dwarf Fortress or The Talos Priciple 2
No idea what I'd buy, but I'll go with an Amazon digital gift card if I win. Most probably I'll use it towards tears of a Kingdom as I just finished breath of the wild about 1 week ago.
Aye, I've always seen these things and never have a chance... Maybe that changes today
Edit - didn't realize I should mention a game. I've been eyeing fallout 4 for modding and it's hecking cheap atm
I'd be super happy with any digital option that is usable in Steam. Less work for you seems like the most appropriate option here.
Wouldn’t mind a direct game gift on steam! Been playing a few games my wife owns, mostly Power Wash Simulator, but would be good to be able to play when she’s using her library!
Option 3 ! Steam does have a digital gift card option however, but i can see the appeal and compatibility of the first one. Thanks ! Actually my birthday, but i wouldn't want to cheat the chances at winning that giveaway.
Apparently I hadn't checked in a while, because Steam used to not have digital gifts, I swear! But Yay, I do see they offer gifting digital codes now.
Thanks for the info!
Congratulations, keep up the good work!
Thanks for doing this! I'd go with either Stray or Immortals Fenyx Rising for Steam. I've been hoping to try both of those out for a while now.
Foretales, I always enjoyed card games and the aesthetic really attracted me, actually it's in my wishlist since the game was released and I managed to not get spoiled (or just a little bit).
I choose the direct gift in gog.
(2 day before the giveaway's end, I guess I'm also a patient scroller)
I'd gonwoth steam. I've just changed my laptop to Linux because of all the MS crap and nagware. Likely due to other Lemmy communities. I have a steam account that is locked for years from changed security requirements. This might be the push to switch from console to PC gaming.
Steam gift card, which I think you might be able to digitally send to someone, not sure? I’d probably pick up Pacific Drive or Dave the Diver.
Congrats! That's so kind of you! In the rare event that I'd be picked I'll save you some $$ I'd like to try Dave the Diver given the overwhelming positive feedback (especially on the Steam Deck).
