Did you just fantasize about a veteran being into you as an 11yr old, now you have it stuck in your head that they were a pedo because of.... Why exactly?

Am I reading this wrong?

Far out, how unhinged is this guy??

[–] 0xKesh@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago

Yes of course, but the crime was still committed and she had full capability of committing the crime regardless of how it ended up for her. The question wasn't "why are males more successful at committing a crime", although this is where my mind went as well.

The cultural reason was what I was thinking too.

At first, physical capability popped into my mind as well, however can a woman not steal a loaf of bread? Or grab a knife and stab someone, or grab a gun and pull the trigger?

Economically able to could also lead into the gender imbalance in executive positions.

However I would like to hear the person I replied to's reasoning instead of us guessing or putting answers in their mouth so to speak, as 'more capable of doing so' doesn't really lend much to the conversation.

I know one person that managed to kick heroin about 10 years ago now. They are one of the most head strong people I know now, with an enormous amount of drive to continuously improve their own life (they have since started a family, got a career, and just purchased a home recently).

In their case, I would definitely say 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' holds true

My version is showing latest on Play Store, and F-Droid is showing latest as 1.82.7. Where is everyone getting these newer updates from?

I might try and uninstall the Play Store install and go with the F-Droid one instead, see if that solves my issue

EDIT: Reinstalling with the F-Droid version 1.82.7 has solved my issue. I'll leave this post up incase someone else runs into the same problem. Hopefully one of our solutions solves it

Just double checked and yep a default browser is definitely set.

I just also tested again with 2 different default browsers (Samsung Browser and Firefox) with same results.

The math at 1103 posts (that's what is showing for me when looking at their profile right now) ÷ 602 days is only 1.83 posts per day.

However, eyeballing their account it does seem they average 6 posts a day if they are posting, with some days dragging that average up - for example they have a day with 15 posts

Device - Samsung S25

Android - 16

Summit version info - v1.82.5 (341)

Installed from - Play Store

Whenever I attempt to open a link from a post (by selecting 'Open link' on the pop-up window), the button does not seem to do anything. I have tried switching the setting 'Open links in external browser' on and off, however I get the same behaviour regardless of setting.

Is anyone else having this issue? And if so, any workarounds? Thanks!

I highly recommend this series if you have never played it, peak Square imo. What's your favourite JRPG to play?

One of my favourite games on Game Boy, super keen to sit down and relive this for a bit today.
