We're super excited to announce the CypherGoat Shield Program, designed to give traders confidence when trading with exchanges through us.

What is the CypherGoat Shield Guarantee?

If you complete a transaction and the exchange doesn’t deliver your funds, we step in.
This includes cases where:

  • An exchange fails to complete your transaction, or
  • They hold your funds due to a KYC/verification issue and refuse to refund you. If the exchange can’t provide a legitimate reason (e.g. AML risk, legal order),

CypherGoat will reimburse you up to the insured amount shown next to the shield icon before you trade.

How to Make a Claim

We’ve kept the process simple:

  1. Contact us within 4 weeks of your transaction if something goes wrong. Send your Transaction ID + details to support@cyphergoat.com.
  2. We’ll first reach out to the exchange on your behalf.
  3. If the exchange doesn’t fix the issue, we’ll refund you (up to the coverage limit).

Read the full terms here

Only exchanges displaying the Shield icon are covered. This guarantee does not apply to all exchanges or trades outside the program.

Swap your crypto at the beeeest rate on the market at CypherGoat.com

We were huge fans of LocalMonero's weekly blog series, "The Monero Standard" and missed it after they shut down. It was too valuable of a resource for the community to just disappear.

So we decided to continue it.

Here is the first new edition, published on our blog at Cyphergoat: https://cyphergoat.com/blog/monero-standard-1

A quick note on the name: We're not the original team, but they've kindly given us permission to continue using "The Monero Standard"

We'll be publishing a new summary every week. Let us know what you think!

MoneroOS resurrection (repo.getmonero.org)
submitted 1 year ago by 4rkal@monero.town to c/monero@monero.town

Two years ago I created MoneroOS, a plug and play live operating system that starts mining Monero on boot. Kind of like NiceHashOS but for Monero. You flash the OS to a USB drive, enter your mining settings, boot it up and start mining!

See the announcement thread from two years ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/s/geHQmPdE8y)

Life got busy and I couldn't keep up with development. Now I’ve got more time, and I’d love to rebuild it properly and add all the things I wanted to include from the start.

I created a CCS proposal to rebuild MoneroOS.

https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/596

If you want to see MoneroOS revived and improved please upvote the proposal and leave a positive comment to show support. Every bit of community feedback helps!

Thank you for being a part of this journey, your support means a lot!

Hey everyone! June was another big month for us at CypherGoat. Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to over the past few weeks:

We officially launched on i2p! You can now access our javascript free website at http://cjorx2hmv3jxs5sshxhw73nmkiayupim6gfye3sfts2pzmjgk5rq.b32.i2p

Based on your feedback, we’ve moved away from Cloudflare to make things even more private.

We faced a relatively big DDoS attack but had everything back up within minutes big thanks to our team! More info here

We’re now available for support via Simplex chat. Other contact options include Email, Signal and Telegram.

On the partnerships front, we’re excited to welcome three new exchanges to the family:

  • PegasusSwap
  • GoDex
  • Xgram

Thank you all so much for the continued support. We’re just getting started!

Stay private, Stay free

As most of you probably know coinbase recently got hacked and personal information including customers ID's, phone numbers, emails, home addresses, balances and transaction histories are now in the hands of the hackers.

These attackers now know exactly how much crypto people hold and where they live.

This breach clearly shows the dangers of using KYC exchanges and why no-KYC might be the best solution.

No worries ; )

It does have. If you select sort by KYC you will see all the rankings of each exchange.

This is part of our series about educating people on the traditional values of crypto. We believe that it does provide value to our readers and that is probably why it is being upvoted.

Not affected by that in any way. All of our partnered exchanges are in their own juristiduction and compily with their local regulations. As a cryptocurrency aggregator we don't face any regulatory scrutiny.

On the flip side we have to comply with gdpr which means that we don't store IPs or any other info.
