I use a selfhosted OmniSearch instance. It's a metasearch provider, supplying links from ddg, mojeek, startpage and yahoo.

It's fine. It's mega private and has no built in AI tools, which is what I care most about.

The creator has requested that their code not be mirrored to any proprietary platforms. It is availible at https://git.bwaaa.monster/

Simple to configure and if you desire to rebrand or restyle it, it's as simple as changing the HTML and CSS.

Yes. Definitely one of those.

This is getting really old. Can these dorks please do something valuable with their time? Maybe contribute (positively) to society a little?

(and no I don't consider teaching arch users to be more responsible with their package management a positive contribution to society)

Oh no, I accidentally posted an image from which someone could potentially figure out my name! It would be a shame if someone searched me up and found my blog, which is the only other thing on the whole internet with my name attached as far as I know. Please no Doxxing. I'd delete the image but like, it's already federated out, there's no stopping it now.

I never want to touch a network script again.

How does wpa_supplicant still suck major butt?

It's FreeBSD this time... am I a real Unix pornographer now?

Limitation is the mother of creativity

They're really not anymore, but bbLean and it's cousins are still floating around and still work, at least on windows 10.

I know this is technically off topic because it's windows, but like, it was done in the spirit of unixporn.

Hope my shitpost is ok, love y'all.

This is absolutely 100% real. I am ashamed at my actions.

bbLean is cool though.

Go ahead, sharpen your pitchforks. I've been learning windows, there's no pain worse than that.

Some permissions got messed up in my KDE install the other day after an update, I'm really not sure how. I tried to fix it by recursively changing ownership of /usr/ to root. Don't do this. This kills the OS. It was technically repairable but like, I don't wanna go through that rigamarole, I just nuked it and restored from a backup.

Sometimes I'm reminded that I often know enough to be dangerous, but not enough to be safe.

I got a new laptop with active cooling and a dGPU, so I needed to remake my dev environment.

I'm using Sway, my file manager is Yazi, I have jellyfin-tui for music, lunarvim for development and text editing.

This time, I uploaded my dotfiles to my git repo here so hopefully config will be faster in the future.

I hope this screenshot isn't too 'cluttered', I just wanted to show off the environment. Open to suggestions for further customization.
