The instances you speak of are actually called "communities". Instances are Lemmy servers that contain them. So lemmy.world is a instance, while !techsupport@lemmy.world is a community in the lemmy.world instance.
The desktop you suggested seem to be more than enough for very basic usage (browsing, presenting etc.). I do suggest installing Linux on them, unless you need to use Windows specific apps.

I disagree. Discoverability is to discover new stuff from new places you haven't seen before. In Lemmy, for example, I can sort by All/New and I'll discover lots of new things I haven't seen from new places. Interesting to me or not, there's discoverability.
There's no way for the ISP or VPN provider to know whether that filesharing is a upload to some website or for torrenting.

Art and music class in middle school. Literally useless. Fortunately, we no longer do such useless classes in high school. I pretty much lived my life through middle school without friends, so I hated the art class even more because we sometimes got grouped together to make some "art".

That won't do. Bookwyrm is written in Python, while mine will be written in Rust. I also just planned things out and seems like this federated anime tracker will have to wait a few years or release itself as a generic audiovisual content tracker. The thing is, I can't seem to find a source for the animes and mangas, I might consider scraping but it's somewhat risky and takes a lot of time. I considered making an open source database for all anime related things. This federated anime tracker then would get dumps of that database daily and work that way. I only found vndb which gave dumps of their database, but MyAnimeList, AniList, aniDB etc don't seem to give dumps of their databases.

Fortunately, my idea of this bot has massively changed a few months ago and now I switched from premade "protections" like these to allowing the users of the bot to implement them using Lua.
