ShutUp10 is the GOAT.

Amazon Kindle, too. If there's a pihole, it freaks out and starts retrying the mothership in a loop until it drains the damned battery. Airplane Mode quiets this, but I hate how aggressive these devices have become.

Oh man, so many arbitrary Byzantine rules on subs like that. "The word count of replies must be a prime number."

I like Linux a lot, I just have never mastered it. I plan on learning it better when I retire.

Yes. Got to the point on reddit where I almost never commented because of the ackshually types.

BBD cancelation is a huge bummer. I'm still slowly working my way through the back catalog. I have 88 episodes left.

I still game a little on PC, but tabletop gaming in-person with my friends is so much better. I highly recommend it if you're burned out on the whole computer games things. Board games, card games, and pen-and-paper RPGs are a lot better now than they were years ago. There's something for almost every taste.

I already have to jump through a bunch of hoops to make Win 10/11 tolerable for personal use and preferences Things like ShutUp10 and dozens of manual tweaks, registry settings, policy changes, etc. The cloud version will probably constantly roll all of that back on me.

I really hate this silicon valley mindset that everyone has reliable broadband and worse, they know what the user wants/needs better than the user does.

Enshitificstion is ruthless.

I do not miss the circle jerk subs. I admit some were funny, but most were just mean-spirited and ended up becoming worse than whatever it was they set out to make fun of. For example, the books circle jerk sub was full of snobs who snarked at people in the books sub for...gasp... liking popular books.

There's just something inherently pathetic in using a platform to make fun of others on the same platform. It's like going to a dance party solely to stand on the side and make fun of the way people dance.

I hope that sort of thing doesn't catch on here. But the "asshole filter" could creep in if lemmy reaches a high user population.
