WOW... we were trying to hunt down why my buddy's forestor's battery kept dying....

We even disconnected the wire that tells the alternator to stop charging the battery...

There's another trick I use sometimes when nothing else works..

• Use ANOTHER computer to install Windows onto the the original laptop drive. (make sure that computer you're using has no other drives plugged in).

• once the installation process is complete, during the reboot countdown, turn off the computer instead, don't let it reboot.

• install the drive back into the original computer

I've used that method to get around off lease or auction laptops where I couldn't reset/remove/clear/reflash the bios password and all the boot stuff/order is locked down

Now I want a fallout: new Vegas remaster but every ghoul is handsome Squidward...

oh I forgot about Plexamp. Its been my main music app since it also does Android auto.

It just works so well and nothing else comes close so far.

Lot's of things have been fixed but theres still much to do. The issue was broken down to smaller issues for tracking and I check back every once in a while.

Even if there were no security issues, exposing jellyfin is also another can... choice of:

1. open up ports
2. cloudflare (and potential ban for video content on the free tier, even if caching is disabled)
3. vps with enough bandwidth

There's still a bunch of outstanding API security issues last I checked, so it's not secure enough for me to open to the web.

Teaching friends and family to use it with a VPN is a whole another can. Also, you'll have to make sure the VPN is secure and users don't have access to the rest of your network...

and then you'll have to deal with client apps/access for mobile, android boxes, TVs, and Chromecasts...

I got lucky with the Plex Pass too so I can only ride this out to the end until Jellyfin catches up. (also, I'm not good to contribute code)

I'm in the same boat. I use gesture navigation so I have the pill at the bottom.

Holding that still opens Google's interface.

I guess for now the workaround is to enable accessibility service and move the overlay to the bottom.

edit1: also make sure to disable OG circle to search.

edit2: seems promising but doesn't do OCR text copy like OG circle to search (a future I use a lot). Will be keeping an eye on this.

I highly recommend openmediavault as well. Been using it for all my servers. After you get it installed, just make sure to install the omv-extras plugin so you can use docker/docker-compose from the UI (if you want).

Gives you a nice web GUI and is Debian based so you can dive into the CLI if you want.

Just be aware that you shouldn't modify some files that are managed by Openmediavault (like the fstab) and never install a desktop environment or you'll break openmediavault.

what kind of paint and top coat are you using? you almost made it look at an aluminum case.

from the layer marks on the bottom, it suggests it is (and looks like a 10 or 15 degree angle) but the top is smooth as hell. ABS acetone smoothing?

Did nextcloud ever fix the bug that would randomly destroy date metadata on photos and reset it to 1970? I had about 20% of my library affected (thank backup of backups!)
