I am a newbie with hyprland. Got introduced to it with a bog video, and because it was keyboard only, it was a good fit for my dell nuggetbook with a poor trackpad. It isn't my only machine, so I felt safe enough in doing so.

It has taken a bit of configuring the files, but I have really enjoyed the process of learning.

So for me it was a way of reviving a machine that was painful to use.

Also most rice I have seen are hyprland. Probably doesn't help

La mulana 1 and 2, animal well for puzzles.

Metroid dread, highly recommend for combat.

Dead cells and rouge legacy two for rouge lite bits

terraria for minecraft + metroidvania

time spinner, bloodsworn for more typical metroidvania

the old castlevania games are on steam, so there is that

almost metroidvania suggestion is Outer wilds. Progression based learning. just not in a 2d plane and no fighting.

Have then in the oldest English you can find. Old enough that it can't be read by most people.

If you got told which format, use it as a study. critical thinking is good

Most people suggest reading New Spring after either book 4 or 5.
