Religion makes some BIG BUCKS so they invest in things like universities and hospitals.

A lot of historical institutions have religious backing.

I'm not saying I support it. I just follow the money. (Tinfoil hat)

For drivers, the results are unpredictable and too often unfair. Data obtained by the Star shows Uber Eats’ platform can offer two food couriers different wages for the exact same trip.

Labour advocates charge that the app collects data on driver behaviour and can use it to decide who it can pay at a lower rate, allowing the company to pocket the difference and boost its revenue. This concept is widely referred to as algorithmic wage discrimination.

For like 3 hours, it was glorious as my friend group wondered what part of the Cybertruck could have spontaneously combusted.

Then video came out and there's colorful lights and we still weren't sure.

It took a official report before we accepted it was a car bomb.

This is incredible.

Thanks for taking the time to take more screenshots.

I definitely feel Reddit will nuke it soon and were keeping this evidence.

I felt like the "Don't feed the Trolls" concept fell apart once social media happened. I remember it dying in the mySpace era and when Facebook came along, you can say "The earth is flat" and get a thousand comments

You see, The Plucky Squire falls prey to one of modern gaming’s most well-intentioned, but still utterly annoying, sins and overtly tutorializes everything. When it deigns to allow the player to pop out of their storybook for a 3D platforming level, the camera pans across the entirety of the stage outlining the intended path before you’ve even really set foot in the world. Even within the confines of the 2D world in the book, The Plucky Squire will often deploy humorous narration via onscreen text and a corresponding voiceover, which adds flavor to the game but also explicitly communicates what is expected of you at every turn.

At just about every step of the way, the game lacks any faith in your ability to figure out solutions and paths forward for yourself, preferring to bludgeon you over the head with answers before you can even be afforded a chance to think for yourself. It’s a frustrating wrinkle in an otherwise charming tale.

Cards Against Humanity sued SpaceX yesterday, alleging that Elon Musk's firm illegally took over a plot of land on the US/Mexico border that the party-game company bought in 2017 in an attempt to stymie then-President Trump's attempt to build a wall.

"As part of CAH's 2017 holiday campaign, while Donald Trump was President, CAH created a supporter-funded campaign to take a stand against the building of a Border Wall," said the lawsuit filed in Cameron County District Court in Texas. Cards Against Humanity says it received $15 donations from 150,000 people and used part of that money to buy "a plot of vacant land in Cameron County based upon CAH's promise to 'make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for Trump to build his wall.'"

They're the same picture."

PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio — Portage County's sheriff appeared to call for residents to record the addresses of residents who publicly display support for presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Sheriff Bruce D. Zuchowski, who took office in 2021, made the remarks in Facebook posts shared to two separate accounts on the night of Sept. 13.

"When people ask me...What's gonna happen if the Flip - Flopping, Laughing Hyena Wins?? I say...write down all the addresses of the people who had her signs in their yards! Sooo...when the Illegal human "Locust" (which she supports!) Need places to live...We'll already have the addresses of the their New families...who supported their arrival!" Zuchowski wrote.
