When I travel, I love places with digital keylocks and digital wallet.

I felt real cyberpunk to use my phone to map how to get to my fancy hotel/Airbnb that unlocked automatically when I got near and wave my phone at the vending machine to get a soda and then order food through my phone.

The part I panic about is constantly keeping my phone charged.

Share something wholesome about a friend looking out for another friend, and incel commenters got nothing better to do than shit on the girlfriend.

What is this, Reddit?

I definitely was a weirdo who didn't understand this. Girl I dated for two weeks shared she wasn't available because of a funeral and my stupid horny ass said, "I can go with you. It'll be like a date."

And she had every right to give me a wtf face.

And that's when I learned time and place.

And a god damn attendance record.

My kid's school told me flat out that if a kid misses too many school days, they will be left behind.

So these "politicians" get paid and don't even have to show up?

This could also be the pilot project to see if it's possible before tackling something more intense.

Morrowind has a lot of jank that people love. I personally don't want a polished Morrowind experience.

I'm for it.

The Creation engine is showing its age. Starfield was graphically attractive. But load screens everywhere.

The Open-Source Software Prevalence Initiative, announced at DEF CON, will examine how open source software is used in critical infrastructure.

National Cyber Director Harry Coker announced the initiative at the DEF CON conference in Las Vegas. Funding for the project, which seeks to learn how open source software is used in critical infrastructure and with the ultimate goal of strengthening national cybersecurity, comes from the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Detroit judge who threatened sleepy teen with jail sends message to Black community

It’s bad enough that young Black folks nationally are disproportionately jailed. Now Detroit has a judge who threatened a teen with jail time for falling asleep.

And now we wonder why Black teenagers — and their older peers — don’t trust the court system to deliver justice. We wonder why so many don’t believe law enforcement will deal fairly with them, and why they run from police.

The Black Lives Matter movement is not only about abuse during arrests, but extends to justice in courtrooms throughout America, both the punishment of criminal cops and justice for those unfairly imprisoned alike.

And I’m sure that many Black folks, watching this kangaroo court on YouTube, couldn’t have faith in our justice system.

Starbucks plans to pay incoming CEO Brian Niccol $10 million in cash and $75 million in equity awards when he joins the company from Chipotle. Niccol will be paid a base salary of $1.6 million annually, with the opportunity to earn up to $7.2 million more in cash.

The teen was seeing King’s court as part of a visit organized by The Greening of Detroit, a nonprofit environmental group. During the visit, King noticed the girl falling asleep, WXYZ reported.

“You fall asleep in my courtroom one more time, I’m gonna put you in back, understood?” the judge said, according to video of his remarks.

King then had the girl change into jail clothes and wear handcuffs.

“It was her whole attitude and her whole disposition that disturbed me,” the judge told WXYZ. “I wanted to get through to her, show how serious this is and how you are to conduct yourself inside of a courtroom.”
