Expensive is relative to income. 300eur is not much money for some. Also, 300eur is cheaper than a steam deck...

Buying a complete product means you don't have to mess around with emulators not working quite right, and if it doesn't work, you can just return it. Those two alone are pretty good reasons to get the prebuilt machine.

I think you meant to type "Why is the hammer there?", so I'll explain that:

"Hitting your penis with a hammer" is a metaphor for doing something obviously terrible. In this case, chasing the latest fad of the month, AI.

There are no domains that are infinite time ownership (AFAIK, please correct me if I'm wrong), but its pretty close to ownership. I have the rights to the domain for 10 years, and I get first dibs on renewal after that. So its sorta renting/sorta owning?

I think it perfectly highlights what can happen when the risk/severity is blown out of proportion. People will latch on to that and waste precious time and energy defending that.

If the original guy had just published "CUPS has a RCE, firewall it if you haven't already", the issue would have been patched in the next release, and the world would have kept turning.

It was a really cool bug, and a great find, it didn't need the hype

Plug in both ends, and send data through it, if the data stops, you've lost your ladder

Nvidia have been big kernel contributers for a long time, even before the "fuck you nvidia" thing. They hold their graphics driver close to their chest, but have done a lot of other work for the kernel.

/dev/urandom can be filtered by a machine (entrophy), this should at least pass the entrophy test.
