I wrote a memory scanner that can regex over a processes memory. Goal was to make it easy to find CTF flags in memory. Dunno how useful it is in reality, but it was a fun tangent.

Damp cloth to capture the dust? Or a strong vacuum to capture it once airborne?

Awesome, now do the other 18 hours.

When my cat passes, i will bury her and mourne her lose, and likely eventually get a new different cat. The new cat could never replace the old cat, and placing that expectation on the new one is just cruel.

Get a new pet sure, but love it for its own uniqueness.

The third step is they "sell" it to their cronies for pennies, who profit all the way to the bank.

You're about to get robbed.

Adding batteries to appliances is nontrivial. Large batteries are a fire risk, which is why home batteries are usually outside on a fireproof wall.

If you put batteries in a dishwasher, they would need to be fireproofed.

Happy to hear from anyone with a bit more expertise, but this doesn't sound very promising

Their energetic efficiency is low, in the range of 0.1% to 1% for conversion of heat into electricity.

Even a 70% improvement doesn't seem very good. Heatpumps are incredibly efficient, so it would be hard to beat.

Depends on the project (and the maintainers), but have you reached out to the developers for assistance?

Touching a foreign codebase is always difficult, even for professional coders. I have found that it usually is a very hard slog for a few weeks or so, and then it will start to click in place. I think the only real shortcut is to ask for help and see if an existing dev can guide you through it.

I could have sworn he has used this joke before? Like in the past year?

Yup, agreed. In isolation, working late or unusual hours is not bad, but with the other things going on, perhaps worth them stepping back and evaluating if it's the right thing to do.

I doubt Colton has an on-call agreement to cover him getting call up on the show.

I am currently doing on-call work, I get a daily lump sum to hold the phone, and a fixed call out sum of I get called out. There are lots of different arrangements it seems. Compensation and balance is key though
