Better is a wild claim.

You're right, gists do seem to update with the static url, however that isnt necessarily better, it now means your gist is effectively under your control, and you can replace the installers with malware packed ones. Operating a software repository/installer requires that people trust you, and that is basically impossible for a no-name dev with no history.

You ideally should be doing checksum checks as well.

a command printed the answer you need — a token

So, you typed this, and didn't stop here to consider the ramifications of storing tokens unencrypted in a central DB? Did you learn anything from the Windows Recall backlash?

There are ~370 cruise ships currently: https://cruisemarketwatch.com/capacity/

There are ~100000 cargo ships. https://www.virtuemarine.nl/post/top-maritime-nations-largest-fleets-worldwide

Cruise ships certainly aren't great, but they are a rounding error, not a significant driving force.

Its not algorithmic, it usually just means whoever posts to that community woke up and started posting. I cant load your image, but thats my best guess.

In my experience, all of the hackerspaces in my area are completely full, and have no space for further donations. I've been trying to offload some materials for a while, they just don't need them.

A HTTP get request is a few hundred bytes. The response is 28KB. Thats 280x. If a large botnet wanted to denial of service an Anubis protected site, requesting that image could be enough.

Ideally, Anubis should serve as little data as possible until the POW is completed. Caching the POW algorithm (and the image) to a CDN would also mitigate the issue.

When I was in highschool, I did a course on games that used this:

https://gamemaker.io/en

It was free, very simple to learn, and reasonably powerful, you could build 3D games similar to the first Doom with some effort.

~~After that, Unity would probably be the next step up?~~

So yes, a kid can definitely create games with a small amount of effort.

House deposit. Its a long ladder, the later you start the harder it is to climb.

Linux doesn't do the drive letter thing. Instead, you have to identify the disks by their partition IDs.

When you install your OS, you'll be able to mount the disks to wherever you like. If you want, you can create directories in /mnt, like /mnt/e, /mnt/f etc. Then you can mount your disks according to those letters.

The main issue you'll run into is disk format. NTFS will work, but its poorly supported.

To get a better idea of how it works, try passing a USB disk into the VM you've created.

Thats really sad. That kid is learning to get good at the one thing ChatGPT excels at - rewriting words into a different form. Who is going to want to employ someone for that?!

I always felt that schools do a bad job of explaining why plagerism is bad. Its not just that its theft, the really damaging part is that it cheats the student out of their own education. A late or poorly written assignment is far better than a passing chatgpt written assignment, because its still involves learning.
