Now just make it so you can't borrow against your stock and see how useless his money is 98% of his money is tied up in 2 companies, both very overvalued

Until people realize the initial up front cost of growing, I doubt most are growing. It cost me $400 to get started with my entire outdoor set up without plant cost. Now, imagine indoor where lighting cost $400 itself.
In California the benchmark is the cost of taxes, if taxes are too high why would I buy legally? I'll go to my homie for far less. However, buying off the street is a risk, people are now lacing weed with fentanyl and I have no clue why, but I've actually had it happen to someone close.
Personally, in California it's a fine line, it's like $80 for a mid ounce, but they did try to double taxes from 30% to 60% and that would have murdered the legal industry.
I actually hated the "journalism" done by CNN here. This one is a little better: https://www.forbes.com/sites/ronshevlin/2026/02/27/block-lays-off-40-of-staff-and-blames-it-on-ai-dont-buy-the-excuse/
Since this time period I've noticed a severe drop in quality from software companies, to the point I have stopped using most products - which in a result drops the companies profits more 😂
Definitely excuse. So many of these companies dramatically over hired during COVID, then after COVID saw a normalization of profits, and a loss because they over hired.
Take block for an example, double or tripled their employees since COVID, but around 2022-2023 their profits fell off hard - they said "AI" is why they're doing cuts. No, they're doing cuts because they're going under
Why did I just open lemmy to this dude posting like 30 post about vaginas and penis
Paid healthcare isn't better, it took me 2 days to get medicine I needed because of "referrals needed"
Now, think of this. We pay 24% federal and some of us pay 9% state tax, meaning people like in California lose 33% instantly and our benefit is.....military? Ambulances cost $1000, hospital visits cost you a soul, or your first born. Yeah, I'd prefer to just pay 40% and have the benefits you have.
You know what's sad, US companies will jump on it in a heart beat, they don't care about America at all.

And if their value drops, just have your other company bail them out for triple their value and make your company double in value! Woooo!
