Completion is not the same as only returning the exact strings in its training set.

LLMs don't really seem to display true inference or abstract thought, even when it seems that way. A recent Apple paper demonstrated this quite clearly.

I mean, you could only read it like that if you ignore the post's context, as well as the next sentence that clearly talks about the movies.

The point is that no sane company touches nuclear with a ten-mile pole unless heavily subsidised, because it's economically very challenging (if not impossible) to get it to run at a profit. It's essentially a big money sink that also produces power.

Whereas alternatives, like renewables, cost a lot less and have a much more immediate return. It's why companies do like to invest in those.

Nuclear as an option is badly outclassed economically.

Obama wore a tan suit once.

Republicans went apeshit due to this fashion choice.

Ancap is anarcho-capitalism, e.g. screw the government, stateless society where capitalism is king. Not entirely the tankie viewpoint.

Couple things:

With regard to the crimes, the Chamber found reasonable grounds to believe that Mr Netanyahu, born on 21 October 1949, Prime Minister of Israel at the time of the relevant conduct, and Mr Gallant, born on 8 November 1958, Minister of Defence of Israel at the time of the alleged conduct, each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts.

The Chamber also found reasonable grounds to believe that Mr Netanyahu and Mr Gallant each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population.

Just drive like Nicholas Cage drives.

The penalty for something stupid isn't death though. If less lethal options are available, why not use those?

It was a very hard landing.

I'm not so sure this is so terrible. Preventing further Catalonian separatist sentiment would require some level of reconciliation, and this seems like a good first step. Having Puigdemont as some kind of martyr in Brussels is not a good look for Spain and has only really emboldened the pro-independence parties.

This deal gives Sanchez an excellent angle to force some reconciliatory concessions from the separatists as well. It's basically killed any chance at a further referendum.

The inflation we're currently seeing is largely caused by supply being savaged by Covid and not having fully recovered yet. Demand hasn't really grown compared to pre-Covid, which if the issue was those "stimmy checks" wouldn't be the case.
