The main issue with nuclear is that it just doesn't make economic sense. It's far too expensive to build and it takes ages to get running too.

Second problem is that due to the variability in output of other renewable sources, anything that intends to be the "backup power" has to be very variable as well. Nuclear can't quickly scale up and down, and even if it could it'd make nuclear even less economically viable. It's why currently gas plants are used as backup: they're cheap and can scale up/down very quickly.

And then there's the big advantage that solar has, which is that people can own the power generation themselves, saving a lot of money and in some cases even making money. It's also decentralized: an accident or attack at a nuclear plant would have huge consequences for electricity availability (not to mention other safety problems). Solar is also dirt-cheap and getting cheaper every year, faster than most scientists predicted it would.

I mean he literally felt he needed to point out he didn't think Hitler was the worst, which I'm sure you can have a very academical discussion about but it's really weird to just bring that up out of the blue.

"Oh yeah Hitler is totally terrible, horrible. Not the worst though, but horrible I tell ya!"

I think they did briefly mentioned they improved the sticks, but they never clarified what exactly.

Well, looking at a microchip under a microscope might reveal a lot about how Intel/AMD/Nvidia design their chips. But it's not going to tell you how those chips were then constructed.

That's extremely specialised knowledge requiring very advanced technology and tooling that's globally only really available at TSMC. It's also so specialised that no one person holds all the knowledge in their head, it requires hundreds or even thousands of people.

But even if you figure that out, you still need to actually know how to build the tools that can manufacture wafers. And that knowledge is almost exclusively known to ASML, a company whose products can cost nearly half a billion dollars each.

China does invest in their own fabs, but even they purchase the (older-gen) tools from ASML. Compared to TSMC, they're 2 generations behind. Compared to ASML, they're 5 generations behind.

That's not to say they aren't innovating by the way. Huawei/SMIC developed chips that are only approx. 18 months behind using innovative techniques that gets more out of the older equipment they're forced to use. It's impressive stuff. But again, this does require the state to throw its full weight behind the initiative to create more domestic manufacturing, which a single billionaire is unlikely to manage on their own.

You could have a hired group of people to laugh at certain jokes in a theatre show? Would sound exactly like and have the same purpose as a laugh track. It'd be live and not recorded, but just as non-genuine as actual laughter from the audience.

If a property is at risk and uninsurable, banks won't provide good terms for a mortgage, because ultimately the property is at risk. This means they're either going to lower the mortgage, or increase the rates. This means less money is available to purchase the property, which forces a lower price on the seller (because nobody else could buy, unless they use cash, but why would someone pay cash on an at-risk property?).

Why? UHC is cheaper than the current system. You wouldn't need any extra taxes.

But... Why? Nobody is calling autistic people sociopaths these days. Mr Beast is being called a sociopath due to his apparent lack of empathy evidenced by several videos he (attempted to get) made. He also doesn't smile with his eyes, suggesting a lack of genuine emotion to people.

Your claim that people with autism are sociopaths also doesn't lead to people treating neurodivergent people with more respect, because you yourself come across as uninformed and disrespecting of neurodivergent people.

You might have good intentions but I sincerely recommend you try a different approach.
