Ya you really have to anticipate when it crosses the keyhole. Or you can just turn the difficulty to easy, it gets a lot easier.

You mean once you get the flying key to the cabinet? When you interact with it at the cabinet it will show it flying around . Eventually it will cross the keyhole and you "smack" it into the keyhole. It tells you at the bottom of the screen what button to hit. (PS it's X)

Me and my wife have been taking turns playing right now. I'm determined to 100% it! Such a fun game!!!
