Don't Panic!

It sure killed the last tiny iota I had left. My company had some WFH before COVID, we all did 6 years full WFH until just recently, they also announced a big "WFH is the future!" Thing last year. Then this year changed their minds and issued an RTO mandate.

I could MAYBE understand working in the same building if my whole team all worked directly together on the same project and we were all in the office, but a giant chunk of the company is all over the country, 3/4 my team is remote, but me and a few unlucky chumps have to drive in to join the video calls from a conference room that never connects correctly and is 10x harder to hear and communicate in.

But this is "for collaboration" we were told. It's been almost a year now and I have yet to have an 100% in person meeting or any meaningful collaboration or anything positive really. It's cost me more money, cost me and the company a lot of wasted time sitting in a car, it made work 10x slower and harder to do, my mental health dropped drastically and a ton of our best coworkers all left and the extra work got dumped on us that stayed.

It's hell. I also "quietly quit" because they don't even care about actual work getting done, only if everyone looks busy and the spreadsheet numbers look all pretty. I used to work hard and enjoyed my job, not anymore, and RTO + strict helicopter management is the cause.

"AI" from 90s video games, where you tell your unit to go build something and it gets stuck on the one tree in its path.

CEOs fall for it every time.

Exactly. Two big things at play with all this.

A. Legal loopholes and bizarre interpretations of wording. We see it every day, lawyers and politicians and the elites find the craziest ways to dodge the laws that bind your or I.

B. He ALREADY violates COUNTLESS laws and the constitution and the amendments and none of those are being enforced. He violated the 14th by inciting and enabling an insurrection, no consequences. He has committed treason with foreign powers, no consequences. He stole government documents and had them at his damn resort, no consequences. He committed election interference and fraud, no consequences. He diddled little children, no consequences. He's committed non-stop grifts and scams and frauds with his status of PUBLIC OFFICE as president for personal gain at the expense of the country, no consequences. And no one even wants to read this far, but the list keeps going. Not a single REAL consequence yet, he's captured all 3 branches of the government and has loyalists everywhere that are stopping any real actions against him, just like a classic mob crime boss.

So if laws can be dodged or interpreted differently and if the laws we do have simple aren't being enforced then there literally is nothing preventing him from continuing on, and he can make up whatever scenario he wants to pacify his brain-dead-followers into believing it's the "right thing to do".

Hell, he could just say "the libs are trying to come get ya! I need to stay president to stop em!" And 77mil people would fall in line. Ugh.

Objection! Average citizens are easily misled by anything that moves or sparkles or jingles or..., hell, even rocks.

They can just declare "a term" to mean 10 years. Or say "the law means two CONSECUTIVE terms is the limit" or whatever they want.

If no one stops them or holds them accountable or enforces the law or constitution then what's the point of having any laws?

Not that laws have ever been fairly enforced, but come on...

Jury duty, but for the judges too?

Is it though? I've already seen arguments like "It only means two CONSECUTIVE terms" and other such bs arguments.

The thing is, if no one enforces a law then you have no law. You can write a rule on a piece of paper, but if you don't follow it what does it actually mean?

Space ships. It makes sense now!

Or bombing kids, or being grifted away, or funding a gestapo, or starting another new war...

All that is fine, but don't you dare help a common person!!!

The fraud is rampant. It's called gerrymandering, closing polling locations, poll taxes (ID requirements that cost money), propaganda, voter intimidation, etc

Republicans are obsessed with voter fraud because they are the ones doing it and they can't comprehend that everyone else wouldn't be too. "I cheat all the time, how come I can never catch the other guys cheating?"
